Presentation

Blunt trauma to face.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male

Small, thin, hyperdense foreign body ~5 mm in length lateral to the left lower eyelid, anterior to the zygoma.
Small levels in the right maxillary sinus and both sides of the sphenoidal sinus, possibly acute sinusitis.
Maxillary bone resorption around 5th upper right dental implant.
Articulation between left occipital paracondylar process and atlantal epitransverse process.
Ankylosis between the right C2-C3 zygapophyseal (facet) joints.
Hypertrophic degenerative changes in many zygapophyseal joints, mostly on the left.

Case Discussion

Incidentally noticed pseudoarthrosis between a paracondylar process and an epitransverse process, two rare variants which can coexist as in this case.
