Focal soft tissue edema involving the superolateral aspect of Hoffa's fat pad just inferior to the patella. There is patella alta (Insall-Salvati ratio of 1.5) and mild lateral subluxation of the patella with respect to the trochlear groove.
Case Discussion
Findings suggest patella maltracking and resultant patellar tendon lateral femoral condyle friction syndrome also known as Hoffa's fat pad impingement syndrome.
