A pelvic cystic lesion is noted enclosing the right ovary. The cyst measures 11 cm, showing clear water-like signal, free diffusion, thin wall and septa, and no solid components. The ovary otherwise shows normal MRI features.
Case Discussion
Peritoneal inclusion cyst is a benign pelvic cystic lesion with clear fluid content that often invaginates surrounding structures. It occurs almost exclusively in premenopausal women with a history of previous abdominal or pelvic surgery, trauma, pelvic inflammatory disease, or endometriosis.
