An irregular line is seen in the midline of the frontal bone, away from the site of the head injury. This is a metopic suture and is an incidental finding. No skull fracture is present.
Case Discussion
The shape of the line is more akin to a skull suture than a fracture. In addition, it is away from the site of the trauma. These features indicate that this is a metopic suture.
