Pipkin fracture of femoral head - type I

CT Pelvis:
Right femoral head is incompletely reduced. Pipkin I fracture of the right femoral head, the larger fracture fragment arising from the infero-medial femoral head displaced inferiorly. Small other fracture fragments are seen within the right hip joint. No acetabular fracture. No femoral neck fracture.
Case Discussion
This patient was treated with open surgery with screw fixation of the large fragment, removal of smaller fragments and hip reduction.
