Placental abruption

30 week gestation with antepartum haemorrhage for investigation.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female

Crescent of avascular, low echogenicity between the placenta and uterine wall consistent with placental abruption.

Scan showed an otherwise live fetus, with normal growth parameters, liquor volume and Doppler parameters.
