Case Discussion

Pneumatization of the crista galli was found in about 13% of adults in a study of 200 patients. It arose virtually exclusively from the left or right frontal sinus 1. As part of the same study no cases of pneumatization of the crista galli were found in a cohort of 132 children less than 7 years old, and 4 cases in a cohort of 79 children aged 7-12 years 1.
