Pneumomediastinum with subcutaneous gas within the base of the neck. No pneumothorax.  The lungs are clear.

Case Discussion

A pneumomediastinum has many causes, with many associated radiographic signs 1.  In this case, the patient was asthmatic and had been coughing excessively.
