Young female patient complaining of asymmetry in the appearance of her chest wall.

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female

Scout for the CT chest revealed mild hyperlucency of the right half of the chest wall. 

Absent right pectoralis major and minor muscles leading to asymmetry of the chest wall. 

Case Discussion

The chest radiography of Poland syndrome is characterized by an area of hyperlucency in the affected side. 

CT clearly demonstrate the absence of the pectoralis major and minor muscles, also allows better delineation of any other associated musculoskeletal anomalies.
