Presentation

Chronic limp, now worsening pain.

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Hypoplasia of the right hemipelvis and proximal femur. The right acetabulum is shallow. Narrow right obturator foramen. The right femoral head is normally located although there is some coxa valga. Reduction in the bulk of the right hip muscles.

Degenerative changes of the lower lumbosacral spine. Mild degenerative disease of the left hip.

The patient had poliomyelitis (polio) infection as a young child.
