Posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) infarct

Hypodensity in the left cerebellar hemisphere, in the territory of the left PICA. 

Left PICA territory infract is more clearly delineated with positive mass effect from edema. 

Case Discussion

This is an example of a PICA infarct evolving over 48 hours. Patient required craniotomy and resection of infarcted cerebellum.
