Presentation

Persistent pain in the left knee and lower leg.

Patient Data

Age: 25
Gender: Male

Diffuse marrow hyperintensity on STIR images. More patchy, hypointense areas on T1-weighted images. Diffuse contrast enhancement.

Case Discussion

Biopsy was performed later and revealed chronic osteomyelitis on the basis of histology. Bacteria could not be isolated.
