Age: 55 years
Gender: Female

MR noncontrast angiography...

mri

MR noncontrast angiography done for evaluation of patient with transient loss of consciousness.

There is a persistent fetal caroticobasilar anastomosis on the right side just caudad to the bifurcation of basilar into P1 segment of PCA- the primitive trigeminal artery.

Also evident is the unilateral fetal origin of PCOM, wherein the right PCOM is larger in caliber than P1 segment of PCA which appears hypoplastic.
