Progressive supranuclear palsy

Presentation

Gradual onset of memory loss.

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Male

Sagittal CT-scan reconstruction shows slight atrophy of the midbrain. This is known as the hummingbird sign or penguin sign. The patient had a clinical history compatible with progressive supranuclear palsy.
