Presentation
Remarkable pain and soft tissue swelling in the right arm with a two-year history of prostate cancer.
Patient Data
There is a displaced non-union fracture in middle to the distal segment of the humerus shaft with medullary abnormal intensity and edema within related muscles and subdermal fat.
Case Discussion
The case is a 75-year-old male with a history of prostate cancer for 2 years and right arm pain and swelling for two months. Right arm MRI requested and pathologic fracture and bone medullary abnormal intensity in fracture zone more compatible with metastasis within the distal segment of the humerus shaft with inflammatory change within related muscles and subdermal fat was detected. Bone metastasis is seen in advanced prostate cancer and most of the cases indicate the incurability.
