Dysuria. Referred for TRUS to rule out prostate abscess.

Transrectal ultrasound shows an enlarged prostate with a volume of approximately 34 cc. It shows irregular cavities / cystic spaces of turbid fluid, suggestive of an intraprostatic abscess. Extra-prostatic spread is noted on the right side.
Case Discussion
Diagnosis of prostatic abscess with extra-prostatic spread was confirmed by surgery.
Biopsy - No malignancy noted.
