This patient attended the pre-operative assessment clinic for elective inguinal hernia repair.

There are surgical clips projected over the left lower neck.

Case Discussion

The surgical clips, due to previous subtotal thyroidectomy, are the clue to the likely nature of widespread pulmonary nodules in this case of metastatic thyroid cancer.
