Presentation

History of recurrent pulmonary infections. Now complaints of fever, cough.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

CT chest

ct

There is paravertebral left lower lobe consolidation with zone of fluid-air level. The consolidation has no communication with the bronchial tree. An abnormal artery is arising from the descending aorta to supply consolidation.

No pleural effusion. No lymphadeonopathy.

Case Discussion

The CT findings is consistent with intralobar pulmonary sequestration complicated by infection (fluid-air level).
