Presentation

Swelling in left para-spinal region. Background of liver cirrhosis and ascites.

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male

MR imaging reveals a 73 x 45 mm fluid collection in left paraspinal location. The left kidney was displaced anteriorly and there was evidence of ascites. The spinal canal and column were normal.

The abscess was aspirated under ultrasound guidance.
