Pineal region lipoma

Presentation

Known case of migraine and old transverse myelitis. Presented with generalized body pain, blurring of vision and dizziness.

Patient Data

Age: Adolescent
Gender: Female
mri

There is well defined irregular shaped fat intensity lesion seen in the pineal region, inferior to the splenium of corpus callosum. No corpus callosum dysgenesis. Signal intensity is concerning for lipoma. 

Case Discussion

This was an incidental finding in this adolescent female, with characteristic appearances of an intracranial lipoma at the pineal region, mostly a pericallosal lipoma.
