Case Discussion

Rectal cancer, although sharing many of the features of generic colorectal carcinoma (CRC), has a particular anatomical location that has implications both in preoperative imaging assessment and surgical technique. MRI is nowadays the modality of choice for further stage these patients preoperatively.

This case was further confirmed on biopsy as adenocarcinoma.
