Case Discussion

The patient does not have any other pathology of the lungs (not shown here), abdomen or pelvis. So this mass has been resected. The diagnosis of desmoid tumor was confirmed histologically.

Desmoid tumor is benign which has a propensity for local invasion (aggressive type) and recurrence after resection, but does not metastasize.  One of the commonest locations is the anterior abdominal wall.
