Right kidney with well circumscribed tan tumor, 100mm in diameter, in the upper pole. There is a central stellate scar and macroscopic hemorrhage.

(H&E x40) - Sections from scar showing fibrosis (left 1/3 of picture) and osseous metaplasia. Hematopoiesis was present within the medullary space on higher power.
(H&E x200) - Uniform tumor cells with rounded nuclei and eosinophilic, partly vacuolated cytoplasm (the latter is a variant finding with oncocytoma cells usually showing uniform eosinophilic cytoplasm).
