Presentation

Nonspecific abdominal pain focused on epigastrium. Incidental finding.

Patient Data

Age: 80 years
Gender: Female
X-ray

Abdomen

Amorphous calcifications in the area of the right kidney. Also known as "putty kidney" or "mastic kidney".

Ultrasound

Right renal

Large irregular and shadowing mass in right renal fossa.

CT

Abdomen

Small right kidney with dystrophic calcifications.

Case Discussion

Amorphous or dystrophic renal calcifications ("putty kidney") is associated with end-phase renal tuberculosis.
