Presentation

Dimness of vision for last 6months. small dark spots o that float across in vision for the last 7days.

Patient Data

Age: 20 Years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

A crescent shaped collection is seen at the temporal part of the right eye globe, which is separated by a thick echogenic linear structure from vitreous.

The echogenic structure is attached posteriorly to the optic nerve head and anteriorly with the ora seretta .

Case Discussion

This is a case of partial retinal detachment from the temporal part of the eye globe.

Differential diagnosis:

  1. Choroidal detachment
  2. Posterior vitreous detachment
