Shortness of breath and chest pain. Previous cardiac history.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male

Small linear density projected over the upper aspect of the left ventricle.

No evidence of cardiothoracic surgery.

Case Discussion

A Reveal device is one of several insertable cardiac monitoring devices used by the cardiology community.

It is implanted under the skin and can both monitor and treat arrhythmias.  It is MRI compatible.
