Reverse Bennett fracture-dislocation

Presentation

Pain and swelling during a competition of direct contact sport.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

There is a displaced oblique intra-articular fracture of the fifth metacarpal base with 3 mm radial displacement of the bony fragment and mild displacement of the metacarpal bone.

No other associated bone injuries were seen.

CT features are suggestive of a reverse Bennett's fracture.
