- well punched-out juxta-articular erosions; particularly along the capsulo-ligamentous attachments
- marked synovial / capsular hypertrophy rather than joint effusion
- non-existent to insignificant bone and soft-tissue edema
- enlarged axillary lymph nodes are an incidental finding
