Presentation

Rule out pneumonia.

Patient Data

Age: 18 years
Gender: Male

Right aortic arch. Levocardia. Situs solitus.

CT-scan confirms the following :

  • right aortic arch
  • aberrant left subclavian artery
  • persistent left superior vena cava

Angio-MRI confirms the diagnosis.

Case Discussion

This case demonstrates type II right-sided aortic arch, which is associated with an aberrant left subclavian artery. There is also an associated duplicated superior vena cava.
