Right hemithorax white-out - hemothorax

Presentation

Decreased air entry on right; dull percussion.

Patient Data

Age: 55
Gender: Female

Complete white-out of the right hemithorax. Trachea is midline. Multiple pulmonary masses and nodules on the left.

Case Discussion

The patient subsequently had an intercostal catheter inserted and confirmed the cause as a hemothorax. The patient has a known history of osteosarcoma, metastatic to the lungs.
