Presentation

Sudden onset headache and meningism.

Patient Data

Age: teenager
Gender: Male

Fat density material is seen in the interhemispheric fissure anteriorly, with numerous small locules of similar material scattered throughout the subarachnoid space more superiorly.

MRI confirms the diagnosis, demonstrating the mass to have high T1 and T2 signal and suppressing on fat saturated FLAIR sequence.

Case Discussion

Ruptured intracranial dermoids are an easy diagnosis to make on CT once one is aware of the entity.
