Presentation

Crying boy after slipping and falling on the snow.

Patient Data

Age: 12
Gender: Male
x-ray

On lateral view,  the epiphysis has slipped dorsally consistent with a Salter-Harris type I growth plate injury.  There is probably a tiny accompanying fracture through the metaphysis making it a Salter-harris type II.
