Presentation

The patient has been treated for pneumonia. Prior chest radiographs show persistent right paracardiac opacity.

x-ray

The right hemithorax is smaller than the left with ipsilateral mediastinal shift and blurred right heart border due to pulmonary hypoplasia.

There is an anomalous vessel resembling a Turkish sword (scimitar) in the right lung.
