Scrotal wall abscess

Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Diabetic with right hemiscrotal pain and swelling for a few days. Local purulent discharge for one day.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

A collection with mobile echoes is noted in right hemiscrotal wall. Perilesional hypervascularity is noted. 

RIGHT inguinal reactive lymphadenopathy is noted.

Testis, epididymis, spermatic cord are normal bilaterally.

No hydrocele is noted on either side.

Case Discussion

Findings favor right hemiscrotal wall inflammation with an abscess formation. Only a part of wall was involved. No air foci were present in the wall.
