Second branchial cleft cyst

Presentation

Painless left neck swelling.

Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Female

There is a well-defined cystic lesion in the left side of the neck anterior to the sternocleidomastoid muscle indenting the inferior border of parotid gland, compressing and stretching the internal jugular vein on its lateral and anterior borders. The lesion has a relatively thick enhancing wall and measures about 57×33×28mm in diameters with no signs of invasion into surrounding structures.
