Primary infertility for 3 years.
Patient Data
Evidence of a two symmetrically sized uterine cavities separated by a hypointense septum which extend to the external cervical os, with smooth convex external fundal contour, no fundal cleft and normal uterine zonal anatomy is preserved the findings are consistent with complete septate uterus (class V müllerian duct anomaly).
Normal both ovaries in size, no focal lesion is seen.
Clear both adnexa.
Case Discussion
A septate uterus is considered the commonest uterine anomaly (accounting for ~55% of such anomalies). It is classified as a class V Mullerian duct anomaly and is the most common anomaly associated with reproductive failure (67%), affecting ~15% of women with recurrent pregnancy loss.
The main imaging differential diagnoses are arcuate uterus and bicornuate uterus.
