Three well-defined, corticated opacities are seen in the posterior aspect of the neck at the levels of C4 and C5, on the lateral projection consistent with sesamoid ossicles of the nuchal ligament.
Degenerative changes as marginal osteophytes are seen at mid cervical levels.
Case Discussion
Sesamoid ossicles of the nuchal ligament are a relatively common anatomical variant that is usually asymptomatic and most commonly occurs at the C5-C6 or C6-C7 vertebral levels.
