Silicosis with progressive massive fibrosis

Presentation

60 Y/O patient with shortness of breath.

Age: 60
Gender: Male
CT

CT Chest

There are multiple variably sized micronodules with characteristic parenchymal mass-like scarring with calcification and volume loss. Hilar and mediastinal calcified lymphadenopathies also are noted.

Case Discussion

The findings in a 60 Y/O male are consistent with progressive massive fibrosis due to pulmonary silicosis.
