Presentation

Repeated attacks of confusion and loss of consciousness were observed since 16 years old, once with generalized tonic-clonic seizures.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female

Temporal pole asymmetry with elongation through a discontinuity of meninges.

Conclusion: Small polar encephalocele of the left temporal lobe.

This is a case of a lesser known cause of treatable pharmacoresistent temporal lobe epilepsy.
