Spheno-orbital and calvarium intraosseous meningioma

Presentation

Slowly progressive painless right-sided proptosis.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female

Diffusely sclerotic bone thickening with irregular cortical margin in the right lateral orbital wall widely extending into the orbital roof, frontoparietal and temporal calvarium, orbital apex, and anterior clinoid process. Associated small soft tissue density within right orbit temporal side encasing the lateral rectus muscle. Resultant decreased size of the orbital cavity and right-sided proptosis.

Case Discussion

The case is a pathology-proven spheno-orbital intraosseous meningioma extending into the orbital roof and temporal and frontoparietal calvarium which has resulted in right-sided proptosis.
