Spinal ependymoma

Presentation

Low back pain radiating to the right lower limb.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female

The MRI sequences demonstrate a small well-defined intradural extramedullary lesion (measuring 10 x 7 x 5 mm) at the level of the L2 vertebral body. It displays an iso-to slight high signal to the spinal cord on T1 and T2 with moderate homogeneous enhancement on postcontrast sequences.

Case Discussion

Small well-circumscribed intradural extramedullary lesion, probably an ependymoma (incidental finding) in a patient with disc herniation.
