Presentation

Known case of DM and hypertension came complaining of headache and dizziness for 6 days with no history of trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male

Bilateral crescent-shaped extra-axial heterogenous density (hyperdensities around blood density) exerting mass effect on the adjacent cerebral hemisphere.
No tonsillar herniation or midline shifting.
No depressed skull vault fracture.

 

Bilateral crescent-shaped extra-axial collection with different intensities with blooming artefact on T2* images exerting mass effect on the adjacent cerebral hemisphere.
No tonsillar herniation or midline shifting.

Case Discussion

Spontaneous subdural hemorrhage always affects high-risk groups as diabetic, hypertensive or alcoholic patients with no history of trauma.
