Presentation

Severe myopia and advanced glaucoma, with bilateral glaucoma drainage devices.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female
mri

There is severe elongation of both eye globes, widening anteroposterior, protruding posteriorly, with widening of optic discs bilaterally, and tortuous optic nerves.

Also noted fluid collection surrounds the implanted glaucoma drainage device on the right side.

Case Discussion

Severe elongation of eye globes, with posterior protrusion, suggestive of severe staphyloma-associated myopia.

Ahmed glaucoma valve drainage device is implanted laterally in the temporal superior quadrant for treatment of glaucoma.
