Narrow coracohumeral distance measures 6.5 mm (Normal > 10 mm).
The subscapularis tendon is thickened and displays abnormal intrasubstance bright signal in T2WI most likely partial tear. Mild amount of fluid surrounding the tendon of long head of biceps muscle (tendinitis).
Case Discussion
The findings in this case are consistent with subcoracoid impingement.
This occurs when the subscapularis tendon impinges between the coracoid and lesser tuberosity of the humerus.
The normal coracohumeral distance measures > 10 mm in asymptomatic patients.
