Axial contrast-enhanced CT shows absent left submandibular gland in the left submandibular fossa with compensatory pseudotumoral hypertrophy of the contralateral gland.

This is a case of congenital absence of the left submandibular gland with contralateral submandibular gland hypertrophy mimicking a mass.
