Motorcycle accident with left foot twisting through the wheel rim.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Comminuted fracture of the middle phalanx of the second finger, with fragment deviation.

x-ray

Subtotal amputation of the second toe, with partial preservation of the proximal phalanx.

Case Discussion

The exposed fracture evolved with dry necrosis of the distal segment of the second left toe, requiring surgical amputation of the affected toe and regularization of the stump.
