Extensive hyper-intense signal sinus thrombosis on T1 and T2 sequences involving the superior sagittal sinus with extension into the right transverse sinus is seen.
On post-contrast images, there is an intraluminal filling defect surrounded by contrast in the superior sagittal sinus and right transverse sinus.
Venous infarction is not seen.
Case Discussion
This young woman spontaneously developed extensive dural venous sinus thrombosis without hemorrhage and infarction. The only risk factor identified was the oral herbal medicine from one month ago.
