Presentation
Urinary tract infection.
Patient Data
The right kidney appears normal in size and shape with normal location.
On the left, there are two well-formed fused kidneys with normal shape. They have approximatively the same size with separated pelvicalyceal systems and ureters. Normal renal excretion.
Case Discussion
CT-IVU features of a supernumerary kidney. It is considered a rare entity, less than 100 cases were reported in the literature. In this case, both native and accessory kidneys have approximatively the same size with no reduced excretion.
The main differential diagnosis of the supernumerary kidney is a duplex kidney.
