Non-enhanced images show hyperdense lesions (due to hyper-cellularity) in the pineal and suprasellar regions. Both lesions show intense homogenous post-contrast enhancement. A large area of cystic formation is seen in the suprasellar region.
Case Discussion
In this age group, this pattern of lesion suggests a germ cell tumor. About 5% to 10% of all germ cell tumors are found simultaneously in both the pineal and suprasellar region.
Unfortunately, no histology is available to confirm the diagnosis.
