Left ventriculography: the basal segment of the left ventricle is hyperkinetic while the mid and apical segments are hypokinetic in a non coronary artery distribution. The end systolic image is of the classic 'octopus pot.'
Case Discussion
The patient had normal appearing coronary arteries. The left ventricular configuration due to mid to apical dysfunction is typical for takotsubo cardiomyopathy.
